The first time an organization asked me to speak, I was shocked. “Why me?” I thought. “Do they know I’m a securities lawyer and not a fancy speaker?”, I wondered. After I spoke and got off stage, much to my surprise everyone thought I was amazing. “Were they just being nice and humoring me?”, I timidly pondered. No, apparently, I moved the audience with my raw authenticity, humor, entertaining style and my passion to have the audience find their real voice and value and succeed. Wow, who knew? Apparently, everyone else but me…
After getting the same feedback for a year, I started to see the truth of my power as a speaker for myself. That was twelve years ago. That was when my speaking career and purpose took off…
I speak professionally because it’s my purpose, obligation and duty to provide healing to as many people as possible all at once. What does it mean to provide healing?
It means every time I am hired to speak to a larger group, audience or team I take my purpose to heart. I show up to make sure your audience:
Gets value: my content is tailored and individualized to your audiences’ needs. My content is now your content and my goal is to teach you new stuff so you can go back and implement at least one thing in your life and career/business that makes a difference to your success.
Gets inspired: inspiration to me is about allowing you to be moved, feel Divine and know you matter.
Gets uncomfortable: my job is not to tell you what you want to hear or already know, but to let you access discomfort so you can shift and get to the next best version of yourself.
Grows: If you get value, get inspired, and get uncomfortable, then you are gonna grow and that’s the beauty of life. My job as a healer is to allow you to access all those parts of you that you don’t believe you can access. Once you do, you heal and grow.
Virtual or In Person: Not all presentations are the same and I offer flexible presentation options online or in person.
What’s the final result of all of this takeaway as I speak to your audience? You take my teaching, and all you learned, individualize it for who you are and go out into the world and create change for others.
I couldn’t ask for anything more...
It’s my honor and privilege to address your audience. Nothing means more to me than to be able to make a difference to many people all at once so you can each go out there and be your best self. It’s my purpose and what I live to do because you matter and the world needs your brilliance and light.
Katy’s Testimonials
“Katy ‘s branding talk got my team thinking about how they can cultivate their own brand to inspire a brand led culture within our organization. The questions Katy posed around finding what drives you and figuring out how to remove your subconscious blocks to success resonated well. She left us all thinking about how we can be more courageous and curious.”
— N.J. Taylor, Director of Corporate Communication, Cubic
“Over the course of my years as a lawyer, I have had the opportunity to hear and work with various professionals in your area. I can honestly say I found you the most convincing and persuasive in your messaging. Because we are so left-brained as attorneys, we have to be a tough crowd! I applaud you for having the guts to pursue a unique path. I really enjoyed your message. You are great at what you do. I am glad to have had this connection and experience with you..”
— N. Bermudez, Esq. Klinedinst
“The National Conference of Bar Presidents was delighted to have Katy Goshtasbi deliver our keynote at our annual convention. It would have been an understatement to say that she inspired us to be better and do better. The energy in the room was real, and people responded favorably to her direct challenges and spot-on discussion points. Katy knows her audience well…and engaged in serious preparation prior to our meeting… We recommend her to any of our colleagues who are interested in real change in their organization.”
— N. Alder, President, NCBP
“Katy’s energetic and informative presentation was the perfect fit for our annual board retreat. Through an interactive presentation, Katy provided the tools to get our board to think about branding in a new and exciting way. Our leaders walked away with a renewed focus on branding, which begins with them as individuals. Thank you Katy!”
